Visit the christmas markets.

You will find several of them in different areas of Lisbon.
The biggest one is Wonderland Lisboa located in Parque Eduardo VII. This place will definitely get you into the christmas mood. You will find here the ice rink, ferris wheel, carousel, giant christmas tree, christmas train, Santa Claus house, christmas fair, music a lot of christmas snacks and drinks and many more! The Wonderland Lisboa is opened from 30 November to 5 January.

The other one that is absolutely worth going is the one located in the city center ? Rossio, happening from 30th of November until the 22nd of December. Are you looking for some original gifts? Check it out then! You will have an opportunity to find some handmade goods, local products with a company of a glass of wine and some portuguese traditional desserts

Chiado Xmas Market is situated inside of the Armazens do Chiado shopping mall. Two floors filled up with fashion, toys, decor, gourmet, accessories. Come here and feel the christmas vibe from 4th till 23th of December.
You can find some other christmas markets at the view points, like S?o Pedro de Alc?ntara, where you will have not only the cosy atmosphere of christmas but also one of the most stunning views ever.

Go for a walk through the city centre accompanied by the christmas lights.

The snow is not here so Portuguese people? are making a lot of effort in all the decorations to feel the christmas vibe in Lisbon. Go for a walk from Praca do Comercio where you will see probably the biggest christmas tree ever, continue through Rossio, stepping by the christmas market, go through Baixa-Chiado having a look at stunning Luis Camoes Square and reach S?o Pedro de Alc?ntara.

Eat traditional portuguese christmas food!

Apparently portuguese people know 365 ways of preparing cod fish. The Christmas version of it is bacalhau da Consoada. This recipe combines boiled cod with potatoes, cabbage, carrots, and hard-boiled eggs, and of course olive oil. Simple and good.

Have you ever tried the portuguese desserts? If not it is time to make it up. The most traditional for christmas is Bolo Rei ? ?King?s cake? (a reference to the Three Wise Men that Portuguese call Tr?s Reis ? Three Kings) and Bolo Rainha ?Queen?s cake?.? They are both round shape, with a hole in the centre like a crown, Bolo Rei has crystallized fruit on top.
If it is your first time in Portugal you cannot miss pastel de nata, even If it is not the christmas cake.

Lisbon is always full of life and christmas is not an exception. You can find a lot of free events such as exhibitions, concerts featuring choirs, classical music and traditional Christmas songs from different eras and countries.?
